Thanks to all who participated in the First Annual MVSA Club Championship on October 20th, 2007. We hope to build upon this event in the future by adding multiple dates to allow for greater attendance. By the time the ten hour day was over, we had a total of ten eligible shooters vying for the "Championship." The event tested our club shooters in five venues consisting of Cowboy action, IDPA (auto pistol), CMP (30-06 Garand rifle), Trap, and Skeet. The shooters were ranked in order from 1-10 based on their performance in each venue. Ties within each venue were given the same rank number. Each shooter's ranks were added to get the champ total which yielded a tie for first place. Ties were broken by a scorecard playoff which means the ranks were put in best to worst and the first shooter with the best rank won. Example being shooter #1 ranks were 1-2-4-4-5  and shooter #2 1-2-4-5-5 both resulting in a total of 17. The tie was broken in the 4th venue with shooter #1 scoring a 4 vs 5.

 

After a long day and about 200 rounds later, we crowned our first 2007 MVSA Club Champion with a presentation of a plaque.
